Appointment Details

Kevin's check up went good today. He only weighed 12 lbs 14 oz and was 24 1/2 inches. That is 50% for his weight and 70% for his height....way down from last month but we have reflux to blame for that! Normally a baby gains 1/2 to 1 ounce per day - that would mean Kevin should have gained 15-30 oz since his last appointment....he only gained 17 - so he was right at the low end of the scale. She assured us that as he gets used to his medicine and new cereal/formula bottles - he should gain lots of weight before his 4 month check up.

Everything else was good - he is right where he should be in his development. And of course his cute little self got to talk to everyone in the clinic and show off. We went to church tonight and when I picked him up from the nursery every baby was crying...except Kevin! My mom was in nursery tonight and she said Kevin would talk to the babies that were crying. I was shocked that he didn't have a complete melt down being around 9 crying babies but he did great! We're so ready for daycare....well, Kevin is - not sure if mom is ready yet ; )
